To combat viruses in Knox County Schools, we have purchased licenses for Command Antivirus Software.
Command Software should be updated regularly to keep the virus definitions current. In other words, new viruses attack computers daily and to make sure you are protected from the most current virus, you must download what are called definitions. The new definitions provide the code necessary to remove the new viruses.

Yes. The liscense purchased by Knox County Schools for Command Software includes a liscense for all students and employees to use Command on thier home computers. If you do not have anitvirus software at home or if your antivirus definitions are out of date, you or one of your students could easily bring in a virus on a disc, flashdrive, burned CD or through and email. This could cause problems for the school. We need to be proactive about protecting our computers and networks from virus attacks. One way to do this is to make sure everyone envolved knows that they have free access to Command Antivirus Software.
