Before you begin plan, plan, plan, and then plan some more!
Contribute automatically places images into the correct folders for the site. Other pages created should be saved to the correct folders. You cannot go back and move the page to another folder once a page is created and published to the site. Images links are dependent upon file locations and will be lost if you try to move the page to a different folder. Plus Contribute’s site management abilities break down. ERRORS will occur!
To begin to create new pages for your website, determine the type of navigation you will be using on the page. For a horizontal navigation bar below the standard horizontal navigation and more room on your page, choose a blank page template. For multiple additional links on your page, choose the Left Navigation bar pages. This decision must be made before you create a page. You cannot go back and change the page without recreating it.
Templates Available: blk = blank page
LNav = Left Navigation Bar
Once you have chosen New Page, be sure to choose the correct template. You will be offered several choices from the list of templates. You must choose the template that coordinates with the appropriate web site section (folder) to have the correct blue tab at the top of the static navigation bar.

For example, to create a page with Home on the tab, choose one of the Home templates. For a Principal Page, choose a template from the Prin templates.
You must name a page as you create it. This name appears at the top of the browser window.
Other pages can be name an appropriate name for the specific page. For example, a page with directions for the school could be named directions.htm. Leave out spaces and punctuation when naming pages.
