BLTC Meetings

BLTC Blog

Communications through Knox_BLTC Listserve are recorded here.

BLTC Forum

You are invited to join a new listserve designed to meet the needs of the BLTCs in Knox County Schools. This list has been created to allow BLTCs to discuss topics of interest to each other without moderation or without necessarily being addressed by Technology Department Staff members. While Technology Staff members are welcome to join the discussion, they are not required to join this list or respond to messages sent to the list.

Please follow the same rules as for other Knox County Lists. Use appropriate language and do not use this list to sell products or make money in anyway. Please be courteous to other users. Please use proper list etiquette when addressing this list, for example, do not type in all caps, no financial solicitations, and keep messages on technology topics. If violations occur, the sender will be blocked from sending additional messages through the list.

To subscribe, please go to http://lists.k12tn.net/mailman/listinfo/knox_bltcforum and subscribe to the list. Others interested in technology discussion for Knox County Schools may use this link to subscribe as well. We hope you enjoy this addition and that it will encourage collaboration and communication throughout the district.

BLTC's Take a Lead in Staff Development

BLTC's or Building Level Technology Coaches have long been a strong resource in Knox County Schools. These dedicated teachers, administrators and staff members are the lifeline of the Instructional Technology Department. The typical BLTC has the same duties and responsibilities as others in similar positions and then adds on the task of keeping the computers and networks in their building working. BLTCs help to maintain communication between the Instructional Technology Department and the classroom teachers. The BLTC will know who to contact and what to do when equipment fails or if there are network problems. Many schools rely upon the BLTC to provide technology training for the staff.

Our thanks goes out to all of the hard working Building Level Technology Coaches in Knox County! Read More...
