KCS Calendars

Knox County Schools has a great calendar program available to all schools. For information on your school's calendar links, talk to your BLTC first and then you can contact Dave Armstrong in the Public Relations Department. Dave can tell you who at your school can help you add events to the calendar.

You can export a complete calendar or just an event to use with your iCal. Single events can be exported by clicking on the event within the calendar and then clicking on the export event calendar. The event downloads as an .vcs event that will import directly into your iCal program.

To get a whole calendar for your iCal is a little trickier. These are the steps that will work:

1. Export the calendar you would like to use. It will download as a .csv (comma separated value)

2. Open in Excel.

3. Save as a text file (tab delimited file) .txt

4. Import into Palm Desktop.

5. Export as vCal file.

6. Import into iCal.

Send the downloaded .csv file to Micki and ask for a vCal file.
