When editing your own images, it is a good idea to duplicate the image before you make changes. To duplicate an image, click on the image to select, then from the menus, choose Photos>Duplicate.
Enhance:
Examine the two pictures below. One has been enhanced to correct overexposure and too much sunlight and then cropped for added interest.

- Open iPhoto.
- Find the picture labeled PhotoCorrections-5. (Picture of zebra)
- Double Click on the image to begin editing the image.
- Use the button marked enhance to see the changes it makes on the image.
While you may lose some colors in the sky, the grass and zebra are a more realistic color.
- Click the Crop Button,

- Place your curser on the sides of the rectangle that appears and drag in or out to show your selection.
- Click on Crop again to set the crop.
- Click Done

Red Eye Corrections:

Red-eye can turn the prettiest child into Rosemary's Baby! Click on the Red eye button and then directly in the center of the offending eye to make the corrections.
Retouching:

An occasional blemish can ruin a great picture. Click on the retouch brush and then brush away small marks and blemishes.
