Have you ever considered how search engines work and why you get the results that you do? Let see if we can find some new stratagies for online searches!
Bill Byles and Susan Brooks have some stratagies that they reccommend on Internet 4 Classrooms. This site is developed by Tennessee educators for Tennessee educators!

At the bottom of the Internet 4 Classrooms page , insturctions are provided for the search enginge Vivisimo. Click on this link to Vivsimo to see how it works!
- To see how Vivisimo behaves we will search for the same topic.
- We will find science lesson plans.
- Go to the Vivisimo search page.
- At the top of the page you will find the word Search the Web to the right of a white block.
- Click in the empty block and enter the phrase science lesson plan.
- No capitals, no quotation marks, no plus or minus; just the words science lesson plan.
- Click on the button labeled Cluster.
Tips:
- Avoid single word searches. Use several words that describe what you are looking for.
- Avoid the Click Here Ads!

Bookmarking:
Using your browser help menu, push yourself to expand your bookmarking knowledge. You might just make a few bookmarks and find them again and you may want to make folders and organize your bookmarks.
