- Plan your project. Decide on topics.
- Divide your class into teams of 4 or 5.
- Begin the planning and brainstorming for story
- Create storyboard of project
- Teacher should check storyboard before students begin projects.
- Create sketches of sets and characters.
- Create armatures for characters.
- Add clay to characters. Create detachable parts. Store characters in boxes to ensure safety!
- Create sets.
- Set up cameras and take test shots.
- Check test shots on computer to look for set flaws and lighting issues.
- Take shots of characters moving them slightly to create animations. (Approximately 30 shots for 10 seconds of film)
- Import images into iPhoto (or other software). Create a folder in iPhoto for the images. You can remove wires from images using the retouch brush at this time.
- Create a new iMovie project.
- Using the media tab, bring in all images at one time at the setting of 0:00:03 frames.
- Add titles and credits to your movie.
- Send movie to iDVD to create final project.
