Accessing Email
Knox County Schools uses ENA (Education Networks of America) as the internet service provider. They also provide our email services. You can access your ENA mail using webmail at the following address:
webmail.k12tn.net
The ENA portal, which provides a variety of services for ENA users can be found at:
Tennessee.ena.com
You will want to use this sites to manage your email account, change your password, set your secureity question and change your contact information or base school. You need to know your username and password to access both the portal and your email.

Other Ways to Access Email
You can use other programs to access your mail. Optional programs include Outlook, Outlook Express, Entourage, Netscape Mail, Thunderbird and on the Mac side, Mail.
Setting up your account
Open Mail. Mail can be found on your dock or in your Applicaitons folder.

If Mail has never been set up, you will need to create a new account. If Mail has been set up before, you may need to edit the preferences. Use the following screen shots to help set up your mail.
On Screen 1:
- Choose POP Account,
- Label as School Mail in Account Description
- Type your name as you would like it to appear on email messages (in header)
- Type in your email address (@k12tn.net)

Screen 2:
Incoming Server: mail.k12tn.net
You will need your username and password
Screen 3:
Same outgoing server as incoming server. Do not check the Use Authentication box or add a username and password!
Contiune until the account is set and you can see the mailbox.
To ensure your messages remain on the server:
- Choose Mail> Preferences from the Menus.
- In Preferences, choose General.
- Tap on Advanced.

To send mail from home, you will need to find out your Internet Service Provider's outgoing mail server. In the Account information tab, find outgoing mail servers at the bottom of the page and add an additional server:
