I viewed my own school's website to view Ms. Upton's website.  She had a very crisp and exciting website.  It is a very interactive site for her students with links to the word wall words and recent spelling list.  This would be extremely helpful to the parents

Also, the second website that I found to interest me was on the same site and I linked to Mrs. Dudley's page.  She had extra credit and a more monthly updates.  I could easily link to each site.  I felt that it was parent friendly.

The site that I would change was my own.  Mrs. Longmire's web page  needs to include more up to date info for the parents such as composting, fundraising efforts, etc.  I plan to put an introduction about myself on to the website.

Mrs. NorthcuttÕs Page

Confusing. The links/calendar thing at the top is confusing. If it is a link, it does not work. The rest of the page contains a small amount of information spread out over a very long page causing the visitor to have to scroll to find what they need.

Ms. WoodsÕ Page

Excellent! Full of content, including a picture of the teacher and information about herself, very colorful with well placed graphics, but not over done. You can tell right away that this teacher is excited about what she is doing.

Mr. FitzpatrickÕs Page

Review by: Nita Harrison

This page has a nice layout, which includes the teacherÕs schedule with links to class specific homework, current course information, and the teacherÕs personal and contact information. This is obviously a template of pages designed for teacher use, but Mr. Fitzpatrick is making good use of them.

This website goes to the Teachers' Homepages link from Stonehouse School. There are only two teachers listed with home pages. Mrs. Jones' is good and worth looking at.  She provides several links for the students but last updated last year.

This next site is from Hope Elementary School in California. Only two teachers are maintaining classroom homepages. Both are first grade teachers. Phyllis Brady has a big page that is created on TeacherWeb. It is too much. Most all the pages are just typed straight onto the page with clip art or animated art to decorate the pages. She has not made use of tables in order to insert photos etc. I think it is boring because everything looks like what has been sent home on memos.

This was a great site for the media center.  It was easy to navigate, had links to great resources, and everything worked. It had a clean appearance and was not distracting.

Very basic page. This site had good resource links; most were active for anyone. It does need tabs or a navigation bar; all information on one page.

This site needs work.  Pages are too long - needs a home button. Aesthetically unappealing.

Overall web page was confusing.  This was the only teacher page I could find at this site.  His site was very big and maybe a bit too much for elementary school parents

This website is an eye-catcher, with animation on the main webpage next to the links to other parts of the website.  It contains educational links to other websites that students and parents may find  helpful.  Although the calendar portions of the website are not up to date, in fact, they have last year's events, there is a message at the bottom that the website is being updated.

Main page is pleasant with text running at the top of the page. This seems to be a very up-to-date website. The teachers' web pages seem to be individually constructed from a source of their own choosing; for instance, one teacher's website is on TeacherWeb, another's is from homestead.com, and a third teacher's website is from bravenet.com. This at first seems to be inconsistent; however, if each teacher feels more comfortable with a particular format, it may provide for a better webpage experience. Also in this website are links for student and teacher resources in the media center link.

This webpage has several strengths, and some weaknesses. The current date is listed on the website throughout the pages. The homepage is uncluttered and easy to navigate; however, the color scheme on the link section is difficult to read. The school calendar is not up to date, and there is no way to communicate with teachers via email. Overall, this is a nice website, informational and easy to navigate. It could use some more development with linking.

This is from a school in Picodone elementary in Fayette County, Kentucky. This is a cute 4th grade classroom webpage. It was really good at conveying to parents what was expected of the students. It was interesting to note that all the teachers at Picodone school were listed but only about half were underlined which indicated they had a home page. All the underlined links did not work.
