I looked at this website and my first impression was that I liked the information scroll bar. As I investigated further, I could not find information about the school (phone number, address, directions) I found two pictures of the principal, but none of the assistant. The links for the teachers are not up yet and it appears some of the information is from last year (The Student Handbook) I did like that the student handbook is available online.

I really enjoyed visiting this website. I was able to maneuver from one place to another. I found information I needed quickly and all the links worked. If I wanted to attend this school or even if I was a current student or parent, I think this website is one of the best I have seen.

I liked this website as well. The school information was right on the front page. Email address were readily available. It was also nice to see Grolier online, since we have that at our school as well. One of the links did not come through (band) and the district home page (you had to redirect yourself), but all and all I did like the layout and I loved the pictures of just teachers and students being themselves....

This school site caught my attention right from the home page.  It is very colorful (school colors, I presume) and definitely catches the eye.  Navigating through the site was easy and there were lots of interesting links.  One link was to something called ÒEdlineÓ where parents could sign in and view personal information about their child.  The library page contained the complete list of AR tests which IÕm sure was very handy for the parents.  Another page of interest was the parent involvement page and the complete school supply list.

The first page of this site was interesting.  It was almost blank except for the school name on the right and the page links on the left.  However, when you navigate to all the pages, it was well organized and very informative.  The page links were at the top as well as at the left.  One interesting page was the Alumni page where alumni could log in to get information.  I also like the Media Center page.  It included lots of links and nice pictures of students working in the media center.    This site also had ÒEDlineÓ.

This school site did not have enough information.  The home page contained some nice quotes about the school, but not who quoted them.  There was a small map from mapquest at the bottom of the page.  I think I would have place this on a different page and also written the directions.  The only people who could be e-mailed were the principals.  This site needs more pages and links.  It could also use more color and eye-catching clip-art.

1. The site is actually a web log. The principal submits a daily summary of the events at the school for each day.

2. There are information bars down each side of the page. They include:

            classroom supply link

            Student art work gallery

            Weekly letter archive link

            School calendar link

            Composer of the week photo

            Directions to the school (map)

3. All the pages have a white background and use a dark gray text. This presents the information in a clean conservation manner.

1. The home page is one of the busiest pages that I have ever seen.

2. The left hand side bar includes eight different ads for various products and services.

3. The halftime show link is only current to the 2002-03 school year.

4. The calendar is only current to 2003.

5. The Senior photo page has full-length photos of the seniors. The faces are barely visible. In addition the photos of some the students are not flattering. Use head and shoulder shots.

I like the way the opening screen is setup, with the mission statement in the middle of the screen and links to other pages on both sides.  When you get to other screens, the mission statement is replaced with a picture of the school, surrounded by links on either side. Most of the teachers web pages aren't up and running yet, but the one's that are have assignment postings and email links.

This site has an opening page that has links to other areas and some general announcements.  Prominently situated in the top is an "Enter Here" link, which takes you to the main page that has the mission statement and links to other pages. The pages have several topics, including a link to a password only area where parent can access grades and data about their child, register for classes, view teacher comments, etc.  I really like that.  Talk about "cutting edge"......we're far from being there, but....WOW.

The pictures are so large, it takes a few minutes to load the page. Once you get it up, they have nice graphics pointing you to where you to the places and topics you can go to, but once you get there, there isn't much do do or link to. The info pages are just typed pages of names and they are very plain. The opening is a big splash and then it just gets dull.

Bradley Elem. School of the Arts:  I got these ideas.  The PTSO puts their

current newsletter on the pg.  Under Media Center, can access AR quizzes

by Title, Author and Rdg. Level.  You can also take a sample AR quiz.  I

would like to put all of these things on our website.  Their home page is

easy to navigate.

Erma Siegel Elem.:  Don't like the moving text on the home pg.  I do like

the little pencil bullets--how do I find that clip art?  I like the rdg.

levels better on this site than on the Bradley site because for the lowest

level it goes 0.2-0.9.  Bradley's is too specific.
