Hi! I chose to review Weather Forcast Showdown, which is suitable for students, grades 5-9. The webquest provides the student with an interesting, real life way to help students be more aware of the reporting of weather which affects their lives along with helping them develop skills in math and research. I think all students will enjoy the task of keeping data and learning which weather reports are most accurate. The webquest is very well designed, easy to follow and to understand.
Also has a teachers page which gives a complete lesson plan with clearly stated objectives and links to standards. The author also offers ideas of ways to use the Webquest and other webquest that are related. Includes a Virtual Weather Map Room, which is really cool. |
