This WebQuest was developed by a high school librarian and four Social Studies teachers.  Working in groups of four, students must determine which five of the original ten Bill of Rights to retain.  They also must create five new additions to the Bill of Rights.  The process is clearly (and humorously) explained.  This exercise causes the students to critically think about the constitutional rights Americans have (rights

that are often taken for granted).  Along the way, they research the relevance of Bill of Rights and societal issues/concerns, collaborate on which rights to retain and what concerns to address in their proposed

legislation, interview five citizens age 18 or older, use MLA citation form for all print sources, complete a graphic organizer, and create a presentation that is lively, informative, and replete with graphics.  The resources links lead to good information and primary documents (although two have moved), the evaluation rubric clearly spells out what is expected within each task.
