Syllabus for 6920 KCS Sections
Participants are expected to participate in the following activities or online equivalent:
Registration: All Participants will complete registration to the satisfaction of Tennessee Tech University.
Class One: Participants will log onto TnTech email and Eagle Online. Participants will explore a variety of online teacher resource collections. Participants will practice using search engines and how to search the Internet using a search engine. Participants will practice bookmarking and revisiting sites.
Class Two: Participants will explore a variety of online resources including assessment and rubric builders, online games, technology resources and available resources in Knox County, including NetTrekker and Unitedstreaming Videos.
Class Three: Participants will explore the world of social networking beginning with web 2.0 and moving to My Space and other social networking sites. Participants will create their own My Space page, request and accept friends of their classmates.
Course Completion: Participants will complete the Tech for Teachers Scholarship Form detailing 5 hours of outside work.
All course work will be completed by November 1, 2007.
Anyone turning in coursework after November 1, 2007 will receive an incomplete in the course.
